This is a small family owned Italian restaurant where the dinner dishes were easily as good or better than any other local venue. The Veal Parm was excellent at a price far less than any other nearby NY or NJ restaurant. Service is friendly. Atmosphere is not fancy, but clean and adequate for an enjoyable meal. Bring your own bottle.
Their meat lover's pizza was pretty good! Toppings tasted good. Sauce was just right and the crust was nice and chewy. Finally found my new goto for NY style pizza! My old goto, after a change of ownership, had changed from a NY style to a thin crust style, which I wasn't a fan of.
I was visiting Holmdel NJ. For a concert at PNC bank. I found this gem of a restaurant La Ginestra Ristorante. Service waitress the best! Just like the yelp reviews marinara red sauce was excellent. Fried calamari fresh. Fried flounder parmigiana very good. Angel hair pasta with marinara sauce was perfect. Even the bread was good.
